He died on 28 May 1945, aged 31. He is buried at the Jonkers Bos War Cemetery on the south west outskirts of Nijmegen, The Netherlands. He served in the 937 Port Construction and Repair Company.

The CWGC site has no record of any relatives. However, he is almost certainly George L R Pluck the son of George Pluck and Kate Alice Fysh, and the father of Silvia and Shirley Pluck.
